Urea is a white, organic compound that can be found in various forms, such as granules, powder and solution. It is soluble in water and because of it’s hygroscopic nature, the product is treated against caking.
It’s main use is as a nitrogen source for plants. It is also used as antifreeze, as pH adjuster, as intermediate and as an additive in animal feed. In addition, urea is used in the production of resins and polymers. A key use of urea is the reduction of NOx emissions from internal diesel combustion engines.
